Brian Bratcher moved from Stephens Institutional Equity Sales in 2008 to lead our Financial Sponsors Group. Prior to moving to Corporate Finance, Brian spent eleven years covering hedge funds and traditional money managers in various geographic areas, and he most recently headed Stephens West Coast Sales Team. In his prior role, Brian managed over 50 institutional accounts and assisted Stephens Corporate Finance in placing equity securities through IPO’s, follow-on’s, PIPE’s and registered direct and private placement offerings. He earned a BBA in Finance in 1993 from the University of Arkansas and joined Stephens in 1994.

Palmer Henson, located in Atlanta, GA, is a member of Stephens' Financial Sponsors Group, responsible for building relationships between Stephens and private equity firms. Mr. Henson has over 20 years of investment banking and finance experience. Most recently, he was with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey where he spent several years providing subordinated debt and equity to leveraged buyouts, and investing in private equity funds, as a Limited Partner. His final years at SunTrust were spent as a member of its sponsor coverage team. Mr. Henson began his career with five years as a corporate finance generalist at Deloitte & Touche and Bear Stearns, followed by five years of leveraged lending at GE Capital. In addition, Mr. Henson was a principal of Intersteel, a venture and management company. Mr. Henson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.

Sterling Smith is a Vice President in Stephens Financial Sponsors Group. While at Stephens, he has provided mergers & acquisitions and capital raising services to clients across various industries, including healthcare, information technology and services, retail and telecommunications. Prior to joining Stephens in 2006, Sterling was an Associate at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin in its Corporate Finance Department where he provided mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and fairness opinion/valuation services, primarily within the energy and manufacturing industries. Previously, he was a Manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP where he specialized in tax advisory services. Sterling received his BBA in accounting and MPA with a concentration in tax in 1996 as well as his MBA in 2003 from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner.
