Mr. Mowery has more than 20 years of transactional
experience, and leads Stephens' banking efforts in the area Power
& Resource Solutions. He has significant experience
in mergers & acquisitions (buyside, sellside
and international) and capital markets (leading public and
private equity & debt offerings). In particular, Joe has led
Stephens' industry leading work in the smart grid sector. Mr.
Mowery's experience in this sector also includes having served for
several years on the valuation committee for Enertech Capital, a
leading venture capital firm, focused on energy technology. He
joined Stephens in 2000 after 10 years as a corporate lawyer
focusing on equity offerings and mergers and acquisitions, largely
on behalf of Stephens and its clients. Mr. Mowery earned
a BSBA in finance in 1987 from the Walton College of Business at
the University of Arkansas as well as a Doctor of Jurisprudence
degree in 1990 from the University of Arkansas School of
Law.
