Maximo Blandon is a Managing Director of Stephens, and Co-Head
of the International Group, where he specializes in cross border
capital flows between Asian entities and clients in the Americas.
He also specializes in investment banking opportunities within
Latin America, the Caribbean and the U.S. Hispanic Market.
Mr. Blandon has over 20 years’ experience in the Asian, Latin
American, and U.S. markets covering a diverse set of clients across
a wide variety of industries. During his 16 year tenure at Morgan
Stanley, Mr. Blandon advised over 100 clients across the globe
raising in excess of $44 billion in investment and non-investment
grade bonds and bank loans. He has also extensive experience
advising clients in asset liability management, rating agency
advisory, structured financing and debt restructuring.
Prior to joining Stephens, Mr. Blandon was a Managing Director
at MSCI, a then subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, responsible for
Financial Planning and Analysis, Strategic Planning, external
funding, rating agency relations.
At Morgan Stanley, Mr. Blandon was a Managing Director in the
Global Capital Markets team.
While at Morgan Stanley, he headed North American Regional
Coverage for Leverage and Acquisition Finance. Mr. Blandon also
spent seven years as Head of the Asia Leverage and Acquisition
Finance team and for a period as Co-Head of the Asia Global Capital
Markets. Mr. Blandon also spent eight years covering Latin American
clients where he was Head of Latin American Debt.
Mr. Blandon received his MBA from Georgetown University
and graduated from the United States Naval Academy. He is a
native Spanish-speaker.
