Graduating from Trinidad State in Colorado, Mr.
Thompson continued his education at Arkansas State University,
majoring in economics. In 1970, he entered into the insurance
business with Union Life in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He advanced
through the management ranks while continuing his insurance studies
at both Purdue University and LSU. In 1974, he accepted the
position of Vice President of Sales with the Hickman Insurance
Agency. The agency sold to Stephens Insurance in
1990. Mr. Thompson continues to achieve success in the
employee benefits arena as well as being a member of the Million
Dollar Round Table, maintaining his status as a “Life &
Qualifying” member and a member of the “Court of the Table”
for four of the last five years. He resides in
Redfield, AR (20 minutes south of Little Rock), with his wife
Katy. They have three children and two
grandchildren.
