Beginning in the early 1980s,
Stephens has been active with assisting with the issuance of sales
tax bonds. During this period, we have developed financing for
numerous public projects ranging from utility systems to
correctional facilities.

With the numerous issues we
have underwritten, Stephens has helped improve utility systems
throughout the South. Our expertise includes water and/or sewer,
electric, gas, telephone, cable television, sanitation and flood
control.
- Education
Stephens consistently ranks as
a leading financial advisor to local school districts. Over the
years, our firm has also underwritten numerous issues for two- and
four-year colleges and universities.
- Healthcare
Our firm has been involved
with the financing of numerous state and regional healthcare
facilities. Our experience includes issues for single specialty,
general acute care and children's hospitals. Recently, we have
managed transactions for Arkansas Children's Hospital, St. Vincent
Infirmary, Baptist Medical Center, Rebsamen Regional Medical
Center, Saline Memorial Hospital, Conway Regional Medical Center,
Southwest Hospital and the Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy
Institute.
- Housing
During the last decade, Stephens
has ranked among the top 10 housing firms in the United States. We
presently serve the Arkansas Development Finance Authority as the
senior manager for their single-family mortgage program. In
addition to single-family experience, we have successfully
completed numerous multifamily housing bond issues.
- Tax Increment Financing
Stephens has
worked in various states on structuring TIF financings. We have
completed transactions secured by incremental revenues, including
financing structured to obtain AAA credit enhancement.
