David Knight

David Knight, J.D., oversees the Legal Department at Stephens, providing guidance across the firm. This includes handling legal and regulatory matters as well as third-party agreements. Prior to joining Stephens in 1988, Mr. Knight served as a senior partner at the Rose Law Firm, a staff attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and a judicial clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. The Arkansas native holds general securities representative, general securities principal, and investment banking licenses. He has served on the FINRA District 5 Committee and the Executive Committee of the SIFMA Compliance & Legal Society. Mr. Knight received a B.A. from Hendrix College, a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Hendrix College.
