Louis Wilson

Louis Wilson, Managing Director, COO of Equity Capital Markets, oversees the day-to-day operations of Stephens’ Institutional Equities practice. Named to this role in 2018, Mr. Wilson’s leadership has been integral to the firm’s effectual integration of institutional sales, trading and research. Previously he served as Institutional Equity Sales Manager from 2016 - 2018.

Mr. Wilson joined Stephens’ institutional equity sales team in 1988. At the onset, he covered buyside accounts in the Midwest; three years later, he expanded his account coverage to include Europe. In 2004, Mr. Wilson was appointed Team Leader for the Midwest in Stephens’ Chicago office. Later that year, he became Branch Manager and held that position through 2016. Under his direction, the Midwest became one of Stephens’ best performing regions.

He served on the Stephens Capital Management committee in the early 1990s until moving to Chicago in 2000. Mr. Wilson is based in Stephens’ Little Rock headquarters, his native city.

Prior to Stephens, Mr. Wilson was a registered representative at EF Hutton and Paine Webber in Little Rock. He has a B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Arkansas. He is a FINRA Registered Representative (Series 7 & 63) and a Registered Investment Advisor (Series 65). He has also completed the National Commodity Futures Exam (Series 3) and the General Securities Sales Supervisor Exam (Series 9 & 10).
