Vice President, Life & Health General Counsel
Georgia Robinette serves as General Counsel for the Life & Health division of Stephens Insurance. As such, she provides clients with health and welfare plan compliance solutions, communications, and resources; lends specialized knowledge to reduce client risk and mitigate compliance challenges in the areas of employee benefits, employment law, and data privacy and security; and monitors and communicates regulatory updates, new legislation, and compliance deadlines impacting clients.
Prior to Stephens, Robinette practiced law with a boutique employee benefits law firm serving health plans, brokers, and carriers, as well as firms in Arkansas and Tennessee. She was an in-house counsel responsible for employee benefits and Human Resources legal compliance to a Fortune 500 company with operations in all 50 states. She negotiated business critical company contracts and oversaw contracting function for Fortune 500 corporation including employee benefits and human resources contracts and provided legal support for benefits and investment committee fiduciaries with oversight over health and welfare and retirement plans. She had judicial clerkships with the Arkansas Supreme Court and Tennessee Court of Appeals.
Robinette earned a JD from the University of Memphis, serving as the Notes Editor for the University of Memphis Law Review, and has a BA from Arkansas State University. She is admitted to practice law in Arkansas and Tennessee.
