Mr. Murphy joined Stephens in 2008 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. Most recently, he was a Vice President at Bluffview Capital, where he was responsible for managing the execution of debt and equity capital markets transactions and mergers and acquisitions advisory assignments for small and middle-market companies, private equity firms and entrepreneurs. Prior to joining Bluffview, Mr. Murphy spent more than four years in the Media and Telecommunications Corporate and Investment Banking Group at Banc of America Securities (formerly NationsBanc Montgomery Securities). At BAS, he was actively involved in the origination, structuring and execution of equity and equity-linked offerings and high-yield and high-grade debt offerings for public and private companies, and mergers and acquisitions advisory transactions. His industry experience includes cable, radio and television broadcasting, publishing, communications infrastructure (towers), wireline and wireless telecommunications, and architectural and engineering services. Prior to BAS, Mr. Murphy spent nearly two years with Bank of America Mortgage. A native of Buffalo, NY, he received a BS in finance and investments from Babson College with a concentration in economics.
