Philosophy & Approach
Phillip has over 10 years of experience providing clients with comprehensive wealth management solutions. “To be effective in our clients’ lives, we regularly communicate with them to make sure we are fully apprised of their financial situations and life events in order to address their specific needs,” says Phillip. “As head of the team, I focus on portfolio construction and answer questions about overall investment philosophy. I also work closely with our external money managers to relay pertinent information to our clients.”
The Worthen Group is supported by a team with over 30 of years of experience in the financial services industry:
- John Kornet, CFP®, is a Financial Consultant and his focus is on portfolio construction and client communication;
- Jordan Bauer, CPA and CFP®, is a Financial Consultant and is responsible for performance reporting, client service, and tax-related questions;
- Valerie Edwards, a registered sales assistant since 2004, oversees accounting matters and client service; and
- Danny Russell, a registered sales assistant, is responsible for client service.
Experience & Education
Phillip graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a minor in Biology. He continued his education by receiving a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Additionally, Phillip is a graduate of Stephens University, an advanced wealth management program offered through Wake Forest University. Prior to joining Stephens in 2008, Phillip practiced as a veterinarian before moving to Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as a District Manager.
Personal
Phillip and his wife, Allison, have two children, Caroline and Will. He enjoys traveling with his family and friends. His children keep him busy, and he spends a lot of time at soccer fields, listening to guitar lessons, and shuttling them to their various events. He also enjoys traveling, reading, exercising, hiking, and camping.
