Philosophy & Approach

Tom has been in the industry for over 15 years and a financial consultant with Stephens since 2012. Tom works to help clients realize their financial aspirations through plans that enable them to invest with purpose. Tom says, “I bring a practical and proven approach to investing my clients’ assets and meeting their varied needs. My singular goal is to put them on a path to solid financial future.”

Experience & Education

Tom began his investment career with Asset Preservations Advisors, a registered investment advisor, specializing in fixed income. Prior to joining Stephens, Tom was a financial advisor with Legg Mason Wood Walker Inc., and its successor Morgan Stanley. During his tenure there, he was also a Director of Executive Financial Services.

Tom is a 1992 graduate of the University of Virginia, where he received a Bachelor of Arts. He furthered his studies at Stephens University, an advanced wealth management program, offered through Wake Forest University.

He has been Certified Financial PlannerTM Professional (CFP®) since 2000. The certification from the CFP® board includes insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, investment planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.

Tom and his wife, Kathryn, live in Nashville with their two children, Anna and Thomas.
