Our Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program is a 10 week, in person, internship offered to undergraduate and graduate students.
The program begins with one week of intensive training taught by Stephens investment bankers, followed by extensive on-the-job training. This process allows participants to get an in-depth view of what it is like to be an Investment Banking Analyst, including by working on live deals. Strong performing interns may have the opportunity to become full-time employees with Stephens upon graduation.
During the program, you will work on deal structure, financial analysis and modeling, the due diligence process, presentations, client communications and more. Instead of being assigned to a single group, Summer Analysts work across multiple sectors and services while receiving exposure to private equity firms and family offices.
Stephens provides a unique and impactful experience in which Summer Analysts are encouraged to contribute meaningfully to live projects. Throughout the summer, I worked closely with all team members to gain hands-on experience in investment banking, as well as a comprehensive overview of the firm.
As a Summer Analyst at Stephens, I was challenged daily in an environment that pushed me to become the best investment banker I could be. I was very fortunate to work alongside great role models who encouraged my growth. The work was also very exciting, as I had the opportunity to engage in live deals and see my contribution directly impact the deal process. In one summer, I learned significantly more than all my other internships and I felt valuable. I am very fortunate to continue my career at Stephens and could not imagine myself elsewhere!

Everyone in the program was highly supportive of my growth and development, enabling me to advance and learn at an unparalleled rate.
The Summer Analyst program at Stephens vastly increased my understanding of investment banking. The generalist program provides hands-on opportunities for summer analysts to learn from a variety of industry and product groups while supporting live engagements. My time as a Summer Analyst provided crucial insights into my development as I started my career in the financial industry.
The Summer Analyst program is a great way to get live-deal experience and work closely with every level of your deal team from first-year analysts to managing directors. I absorbed in-depth sector knowledge across many different industries, which is a huge benefit of the generalist aspect of the program.
