Stephens, an independent financial services firm, announced today that Robert Hughes has joined its Institutional Equities sales team as a managing director and financial institutions group (FIG) specialist. Mr. Hughes brings more than 23 years of industry experience to Stephens, deepening the firm’s FIG-related capabilities and offering. He is based in Stephens’ New York office.
For more than 20 years, Stephens has been a leading presence covering and servicing financial institutions. Mr. Hughes comes to Stephens from D.A. Davidson where he served in a similar role. He held earlier positions with FIG Partners, Citadel LLC, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, and UBS Warburg. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University and holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
