Stephens Announces New Leadership Within Institutional Equities & Research Group

(LITTLE ROCK, AR: April 29, 2024) – Stephens, an independent financial services firm, today announced Joe Dacus is the new Head of Sales and James Law is the new Head of Trading of Stephens Institutional Equities practice effective immediately. They join Director of Research Kyle Evans, in shared leadership of Stephens Institutional Equities practice.

“Joe and Jimmy have exceptional experience, keen insights, and strong leadership skills. Together with Kyle, they will work to grow our research content; and to further performance and execution for our clients,” said Brad Eichler, Chief Operating Officer at Stephens. “This is a transformative time for our Institutional Equities practice, and we look forward to fully leveraging the abilities of Joe, Jimmy and Kyle to innovate and inspire as we increase our capabilities.”

Mr. Dacus has more than 14 years of experience in Sales and Trading at Stephens. Prior to that he worked in Audit at the accounting firm Deloitte. Mr. Dacus is based in Stephens' Little Rock office.

Mr. Law has more than 24 years of experience in Sales and Trading and has worked in that capacity at Stephens for more than 10 years. He joined Stephens from Lazard, where he was a Managing Director in Sales and Trading. Prior to that, Mr. Law was an Executive Director at CIBC World Markets also in Sales and Trading. He is based in Stephens' New York office.

Mr. Evans, based in Little Rock, has been with Stephens for more than 25 years and has been Director of Research since 2021. Previously, he led the Media and Advertising Technology practice in equity research and joined Stephens as an associate in the Internet Media and Ad Technology groups. Prior to joining Stephens, Mr. Evans worked at the Medical College of Virginia in the Neuropsychology department.
