Stephens, an independent financial services firm, announced today the hiring of Shelly Waters as Senior Vice President in the Industrial and Commercial Services Group of its Investment Banking division. Mr. Waters will be based in Atlanta.
Mr. Waters brings to Stephens a track record of successfully advising and executing M&A and corporate finance transactions across the Business Services sector. There are strong tailwinds driving significant capital formation across these areas of the market, and Stephens will continue to expand its coverage of the Services space.
“We are very excited to welcome Shelly to the team,” said Brad Eichler, Executive Vice President, Head of Investment Banking. “Not only is he a strong cultural fit, but his extensive network of financial sponsor and privately held business relationships and deep sector knowledge made him a strategic addition as he will help lead growth across our Business Services sector.”
Mr. Waters added: “My focus will be providing strategic advice on M&A and capital formation to founder-owned and private-equity backed companies across the Professional and Commercial Services sub-sectors. I am excited to join a premier, independent investment banking firm with strong momentum in M&A and a focus on sector knowledge and deal execution which are fully aligned with my go-to-market approach. In addition, I am thrilled to be part of a group that is focused on being a trusted advisor to clients while valuing culture and exceptional execution.”
Prior to joining Stephens, he was a Director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. He graduated from The University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Accounting and Master of Accountancy and received his MBA from Emory University.
