Stephens, an independent financial services firm, has added specialty finance-focused senior bankers Lawrence Guthrie and Yashin Mody to its London-based team.
Guthrie and Mody, who arrived from Houlihan Lokey, have joined Stephens as a Managing Director and Director, respectively.

Guthrie has more than 35 years of advisory experience. His career started at Charterhouse, and he later co-founded the financial services practice at Hawkpoint. Following the sale of Hawkpoint, Guthrie joined advisory boutique Quayle Munro, where he established a dedicated specialty finance advisory practice. Guthrie continued to lead his practice when Quayle Munro was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2018. His primary focus has been the European and UK specialty finance sector – particularly in consumer and business finance, mortgages, receivables management and specialist banks.

subsequently joined Quayle Munro to focus on specialty finance and continued this focus following the sale of Quayle Munro to Houlihan Lokey. His primary area of expertise is UK and European specialty finance, particularly in consumer and business finance, mortgages and specialist banks.
