Michael joined Stephens in November 2022 as a Managing Director to lead the firm’s energy equity research coverage. His career includes more than 20 years of sell-side coverage of the oil and gas industry with A.G. Edwards, Thomas Weisel Partners, and Stifel. He has been noted multiple times for stock picking performance and was named an Up and Comer in the E&P sector by Institution Investor early in his career. Prior to his sell-side tenure, he was a Geophysical Analyst for Chevron and a Manager of Planning and Analysis at HS Resources. Mr. Scialla earned a Bachelor of Science in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado.
