David Zarr joined Stephens Insurance in 2022 as an Executive Vice President in the Energy Division. He oversees insurance programs for energy-related risks, including exploration & production, midstream, and oilfield service firms.
Prior to joining Stephens, Zarr worked for a large insurance brokerage firm for over 25 years handling complex insurance and risk management programs for energy-related firms, exclusively. His previous clients include onshore and offshore energy-related firms and publically held and large private firms. He worked with many clients as they grew and implemented larger deductible programs and purchased higher limits.
Zarr began his career with JH Blades & Company, Inc., where he worked in London for Jenner Fenton Slade Ltd., a brokerage firm, specializing in placing insurance programs for exploration & production and midstream energy firms.
Zarr earned his MBA and BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
