Dr. Bemberg joined the Stephens Insurance, LLC team as Vice President and Pharmacy Benefits Analyst in 2018, focusing on prescription drug formulary and pharmacy benefit management solutions. Dr. Bemberg began her career with the UAMS College of Pharmacy and Evidence-Based Prescription Drug Program (EBRx) in 2015 as a Pharmacy Specialist and moved into the role of Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations in 2016. Through that position, Dr. Bemberg was a member of the EBRx Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and served as the chair of the Drug Delivery Coordination Workgroup, a subcommittee focusing on specialty and medically-administered medications.
Originally from West Memphis, Arkansas, Dr. Bemberg graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2010. She then obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2014. It was during this time at UAMS that Dr. Bemberg discovered an interest in pharmacy benefits management. This interest quickly developed into a passion as Dr. Bemberg pursued further training through a Post Graduate Year-1 residency in Managed Care Pharmacy and Evidence-Based Medicine with the EBRx. During her residency, Dr. Bemberg worked with EBRx to provide recommendations to several large, self-funded health plans and to develop clinical payment strategies. She completed her residency training in 2015.
