John Denery

John Denery started his career in 1998 with Unum in Memphis covering Tennessee, Arkansas & Mississippi, earning representative of the year in 1999. In 2002, he joined Stephens Insurance, LLC as Senior Vice President. With a strong focus on innovation and transparency, Denery began working with some of the state’s largest employers, both public and private, on all facets of their employee benefits programs. In 2006, he co-founded Stephens Consulting Services (SCS), a division of Stephens Insurance that provides audit and consulting services on pharmacy benefits to self-funded employer groups. In 2012, Denery was promoted to Executive Vice President.

Denery is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and the Society for Human Resource Management. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Search Ministries, Young Life and the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace. Denery received his B.A. in History in 1995 from Hobart College, Geneva, New York.
