Vice President, Commercial P&C Property Claims Specialist
Joseph Brown joined Stephens Insurance in 2017 as a Property Claims Specialist in the Property & Casualty Claims Management division. His primary role is to support and advise clients throughout the complexities of the claims process, interpret policy provisions, and advocate on the client's behalf with carriers and adjusters.
Prior to joining Stephens, he spent 17 years as a property adjuster for an insurance company. During that time, he performed all duties associated with investigating, analyzing, evaluating, and settling residential and commercial property insurance claims. He also trained adjusters in field inspections, damage evaluations, estimating, policy review, documentation, and reporting procedures.
Brown earned a BA from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He is certified in Fire Scene Evaluations and is a Haag Certified Roof Inspector (HCRI-R); he also holds Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations. He is a board member for Arkansas Community Foundation Faulkner County.
