Senior Vice President, Commercial P&C Senior Account Manager
Mary Whitten joined Stephens Insurance in 2009 and currently serves as a Senior Account Manager in the Property & Casualty division, providing risk and account management services to large public and private clients. She handles large deductible programs, self-insured, and retrospective-rated casualty and large complex global property, including large deductible and multinational reinsurance programs and works with client mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures worldwide.
Whitten has over 34 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to joining Stephens, she spent 11 years providing similar services for a local insurance agency. In the nine years before, she worked in a similar capacity, with the majority of years dedicated to marketing; she spent three years as Marketing Director for an independent agency in Louisiana. She has a wide array of insurance experience in hospitality, manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, energy, aviation, municipalities, medical related and nursing home industries. She has also worked with clients' mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Her expertise includes complex property and large deductible programs including self insurance and retrospectively rated programs.
