Stuart Wallace

Stuart Wallace joined Stephens in November 2015 as President of the Houston office. He was brought aboard to lead the initiative for Stephens Insurance by utilizing the Stephens Insurance platform expanding into the Houston marketplace and building the best in class team of Insurance specialists. Prior to joining Stephens, Wallace worked in multiple capacities of sales production, service and management roles at Arthur J. Gallagher for over 15 years. Most recently, he led the Gallagher Energy Practice as the Managing Director for the United States.

Wallace’s Energy experience ranges from upstream E&P (land & offshore), Service Contractors to Midstream Operations, Manufacturers & Distribution and to Downstream Contracting Operations, both domestic and international. This includes implementing various program structures such as Guarantee Cost, Deductible, Self-Insured Retentions and Captive Arrangements. He stresses the importance of understanding the client’s operations in order to properly create the most efficient insurance program for terms and conditions as well as pricing. He utilizes a consultative approach in handling client’s risk management exposures, risk appetite, renewal process and day-to-day servicing. Wallace’s professional training and education include Executive Development Training (2006-2010) and the professional designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Wallace received a BA from the University of Texas in 1994.
