He offers a sophisticated, concierge-level approach to wealth management, combining deep experience with broad market insight. Drawing on a diverse background in traditional and alternative investments, Carlton helps clients access innovative opportunities tailored to their unique needs.

Carlton, Senior Partner of the Forrester & Holmes Group, leads the team in collaboration with Senior Vice President William Holmes and Financial Consultants Grace Wages and Bailey Taylor.
Carlton brings over two decades of experience in financial services, with a focus on serving complex client relationships, including family offices, institutions, and wealthy families. He also has experience guiding clients through significant liquidity events, offering tailored strategies to help preserve and grow wealth during times of transition.
Prior to joining Stephens, Mr. Forrester was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan and held a senior advisory role at UBS. He worked extensively with ultra-high-net-worth clients on comprehensive wealth planning and investment management.
Earlier in his career, Carlton worked with Harbert Management Corporation, where he supported the firm’s proprietary investments across real estate, private equity, and hedge fund strategies.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was a two-time All-American golfer.
A lifelong golfer, Carlton played professionally on the Canadian Tour after college and remains active in amateur golf. He serves on the Georgia Tech Golf Committee, supporting the university’s golf program.
Carlton is deeply committed to community involvement. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Within the Baylor Board, he serves on the finance, endowment, and buildings and grounds committees. He has previously served on boards for the Atlanta Junior Golf Association, Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute, and Camp Twin Lakes.
Carlton and his wife, Katie, live in Atlanta with their three sons, Carlton Jr., Henry, and Brendan. He enjoys attending his children’s sporting events, especially baseball, golf, track, and cross country. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, hunting, fitness, travel, and the occasional ping pong match with his sons.
