George has more than 35 years of experience guiding clients in all aspects of their wealth management needs and joined Stephens in 2016. George understands the various stages of the wealth cycle and the appropriate strategies to guide clients on their financial journeys. According to George, “Wealth management is deeply personal. When evaluating client needs, I consider the emotional and practical concerns that influence their financial decisions. By understanding my clients and their family dynamics, the resulting wealth management plan truly aligns with their near and long-term goals.”
Prior to joining Stephens, George was a Senior Vice President and Branch Manager at Wells Fargo Advisors, Inc. George graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Political Science. He also graduated from the Securities Industry Institute in the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2003.
As a native of Memphis, George believes in giving back to the community. He is a past member of the Presbyterian Day School Board of Trustees, where he served as finance chair and chairman of the annual fund. He currently serves as a member of the alumni board for Memphis University School. In 2021, George established an academic endowment creating a permanent Chair of Economics for Memphis University School in honor of his late wife, Pamela. Most recently, he was elected to the board of The Palmer Home for Children.
George has five sons, Michael, Evan, Norfleet, John and Wills. He enjoys hosting cookouts, pheasant hunting in South Dakota, fly fishing with his sons and golf.
