Managing Director, Regional Director, Branch Manager
George has more than 40 years of experience helping clients navigate the complexities of wealth management and joined Stephens in 2016. Throughout his career, he has worked with individuals and families across a wide range of financial circumstances, developing strategies tailored to their evolving needs and long-term objectives.
George believes that effective wealth management begins with understanding each client's unique goals, values, and family dynamics. By considering both the practical and personal factors that influence financial decision-making, he helps clients develop plans designed to support their goals through every stage of life. As George explains, “Wealth management is deeply personal. When evaluating client needs, I consider the emotional and practical concerns that influence their financial decisions. By understanding my clients and their family dynamics, the resulting wealth management plan truly aligns with their near- and long-term goals.”
George leads The Sousoulas Team, that includes Evelyn Griffith, combining decades of experience with the next generation of advisory talent to support clients and their families through every stage of their financial lives. Together, they are committed to providing thoughtful guidance, personalized service, and building lasting client relationships.
Supporting George and the team is Bonnie Boyd, a registered client associate with more than 30 years of experience. Bonnie plays an important role in delivering attentive, personalized service and assisting clients with their account-related needs.
Prior to joining Stephens, George served as a Senior Vice President and Branch Manager with Wells Fargo Advisors, Inc.
George earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of Tennessee. He is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
As a native of Memphis, George is deeply committed to giving back to his community. In 2025, he served as King of Carnival Memphis, an organization dedicated to promoting industries that have a significant economic impact on the Mid-South region. He is also a past member of the Presbyterian Day School Board of Trustees, where he served as Finance Chair and Chairman of the Annual Fund. He has served on the alumni board of Memphis University School.
In 2021, George established an academic endowment creating a permanent Chair of Economics at Memphis University School in honor of his late wife, Pamela. Most recently, he was elected to the board of The Palmer Home for Children.
George has five sons—Michael, Evan, Norfleet, John, and Wills. Outside of work, he enjoys hosting cookouts, pheasant hunting in South Dakota, fly fishing with his sons, and playing golf.
