Senior Vice President

J. Brent Akers

Philosophy & Approach

Brent joined Stephens as a Senior Vice President in 2013 and brings more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. He works closely with his partner, Rocky Jones, and Luke Raiford to help clients define and achieve their financial objectives through a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to wealth management. Whether clients are planning for retirement, saving for education, or preparing for the transfer of generational wealth, Brent and his team remain actively engaged in helping them navigate market opportunities and important financial decisions.

Brent believes every client's financial situation is deeply personal and unique. By taking the time to understand each client's goals, priorities, and concerns, he helps develop strategies designed to provide clarity, confidence, and peace of mind. As Brent explains, “Every client's financial situation is both deeply personal and unique to them. As a team, we work to develop a wealth management plan that helps relieve the stress often associated with financial decisions while keeping clients focused on their long-term goals.”

Brent works alongside Rocky Jones and Luke Raiford as part of The Akers & Jones Team. Together, they leverage a collaborative approach that combines decades of industry experience with fresh perspectives to help clients navigate important financial decisions and pursue their long-term objectives.

Supporting Brent and the team is Kim Carter, a registered client associate who has worked with the team since 2003. Kim has more than 20 years of experience and plays an important role in delivering attentive, personalized service to clients.
