John Kimbrough

Philosophy & Approach

John joined Stephens Private Client Group in 2012 and has over 35 years of industry experience. John and his partner, Arthur Buring, work with individuals, small businesses, and foundations to help secure their financial futures. Speaking about his team, John says, “Our top priority is helping our clients to understand their goals and what it takes to achieve them through wealth management planning. Implementation and follow through of that plan are key to achieving their short- and long-term goals.”

Daneel Buring, a registered client associate since 1999 with 20 years of administrative experience, supports John.

Experience & Education

John began his investment career at Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. through its merger with Solomon Smith Barney Inc. He was also with USB Financial Services Inc. and Vice President and financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Inc. John graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts in General Business.

Personal

John is very passionate about his community. He previously served as Treasurer of the Ronald McDonald House Charites of Memphis, Inc. where he currently serves on both the advisory board and investment committee. He is on the Executive Board advancement committee of the Chickasaw Council, Boys Scouts of America.

John and his wife, Janis, have two children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking, and being outdoors.
