John joined Stephens Private Client Group in 2012 and has more than 35 years of industry experience. John and his partner, Arthur Buring, work with individuals, small businesses, and foundations to help secure their financial futures. John began his investment career at Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. through its merger with Solomon Smith Barney Inc. He was also with USB Financial Services Inc. and Vice President and financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Inc. John graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts in General Business.
John is very passionate about his community. He previously served as Treasurer and was on the advisory board of the Ronald McDonald House Charites of Memphis, Inc. He is on the Executive Board of the Chickasaw Council, Boys Scouts of America.
John has two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking and being outdoors.
