Philosophy & Approach

Mark has more than 35 years of industry experience. Mark and his team at Stephens Private Client Group, comprised of Jay Brain and Keith Westmoreland, develop tailored investment strategies that reflect each client’s individual financial goals and long-term objectives. According to Mark, “For a wealth management plan to be successful, it is imperative that we develop an open and honest dialogue with clients about their financial position, aspirations, and lifestyles. This allows us to fully align a plan for every stage of our client’s life and for them to have peace of mind that they are prepared each step of the way.”

Chandler Lubbert works with Mark and his team as a client associate.

Experience & Education

Prior to joining the Stephens team, Mark was a financial advisor and Vice President with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc.

Mark graduated in 1982 with honors from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He completed the Stephens’ wealth management program, Stephens University, offered through Wake Forest University.

He is also a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®). The certification from the CFP® Board includes insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, investment planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.

Mark has been active member of his community, serving on the Washington Regional Foundation Board and as president for First Tee of Northwest Arkansas.

Mark and his wife, Kim, have three children, Lauren, James, and Mitchell. They have two grandchildren. His hobbies include golf, tennis, skiing, flying, and hiking.
