Philosophy & Approach

Ben has been a financial consultant for more than 10 years and partners with Hal Lewis since 2010. Clients rely upon the Lewis James Group for sound and experienced wealth management. When working with clients, Ben takes a long-term view that extends beyond financial guidance and services, nurturing each relationship accordingly. “Our aspiration for our clients is to help them identify their goals, and to guide them through the creation and implementation of a wealth management plan that seeks to fulfill those objectives,” states Ben.

Ben is supported by Angie Richardson, a registered sales assistant since 2011 with over 18 years of administrative experience.

Experience & Education

Ben joined Stephens Private Client Group in 2011. Previously, he was a financial advisor with Smith Barney, Inc. and its successor, Morgan Stanley, and was a senior auditor with Thompson Dunavant, PLC.

Ben graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Christian Brothers University.

Ben completed the necessary requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant; his license is currently inactive. Ben also completed Stephens’ advanced wealth management program, Stephens University, offered through Wake Forest University.

Personal

Ben and his wife live in Memphis with their three children. When Ben is not in the office, he enjoys playing with his kids, golf, and other competitive activities with his friends. His favorite activity is coaching his children’s sports teams.
