Executive Vice President, Head of Private Wealth Management
Mr. Scanlon is Executive Vice President and Head of the Private Wealth Management Division. He joined Stephens in 1987. Previously, he was chief operating officer for two Stephens Inc. subsidiaries – Stephens Sports Management and Stephens Insurance Services – before joining the Private Client Group. Prior to his appointment as the Head of the Private Client Group, his previous Private Client Group responsibilities included Managing Director for Growth and Development and Managing Director for the Professional Strategies Group. He began his career in the securities industry in 1981 with Merrill Lynch, where he was a Senior Financial Consultant.
He is a native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and is a 1979 graduate of the University of Arkansas. He is also a graduate of Stephens University at Wake Forest University.
He is a member of the University of Arkansas Walton School of Business Dean’s Executive Advisory Board and the University of Arkansas Razorback Foundation Board of Directors. He formerly served as a member of the FINRA District 5 Business Conduct Committee.
