Mr. Evans joined Stephens in 2015 as a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group to assist with investment banking coverage of banks and thrifts throughout the Southwestern United States. Prior to joining Stephens, he worked as a Vice President in Sterne Agee’s Dallas office and as an Associate in Keefe, Bruyette & Woods’ New York City office advising bank clients on M&A and capital markets transactions. Mr. Evans has been involved in 19 completed bank M&A transactions with an aggregate deal value of approximately $2.3 billion. M&A transaction experience includes buy and sell-side whole-bank transactions, branch acquisitions and branch divestitures, FDIC assisted transactions, and 363 bankruptcy transactions. In addition, he has served as an advisor on 24 completed bank capital markets transactions with aggregate proceeds of $2.9 billion. Capital markets transaction experience includes initial public offerings, public and private common stock follow-on offerings, convertible preferred stock offerings, and the issuance of subordinated notes. Mr. Evans graduated Cum Laude with a B.B.A. in finance in 2006 from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.
