Managing Director
Lawrence is a Managing Director in the Financial Services Group in Stephens London office and is focussed on advising European and UK specialty finance businesses, both banks and non-banks, and receivables management companies. He has 35 years’ advisory experience, the last 25 of which have been dedicated to financial services.
Lawrence co-founded the financial services team at Hawkpoint in the late 1990s and subsequently at Quayle Munro which was sold to Houlihan Lokey in 2018 where he continued as a Managing Director until joining Stephens in 2023. He has advised on many transactions including the sales of Foundation Home Loans, Bluestep Bank, Titlestone, Enra and Marlin, the purchases of Shawbrook Bank, Cabot Credit Management, Collectia and a £6bn mortgage portfolio from the UK Government. Financings have included capital raises for Masthaven and Arbuthnot Banking Group.
Lawrence has an MA (Hons) from St John’s College, Cambridge where he studied Natural Sciences.
