Michael Young

Michael is a Managing Director in Stephens' London office in the Financial Services Group, with a particular focus on the challenger or specialist bank and non-bank finance sector. He has over 15 years’ corporate finance experience, advising a range of private and public clients on national and cross-border transactions including mergers, acquisitions, disposals and IPOs.

Prior to joining Stephens in 2020, Michael spent 15 years at Lazard in London. Illustrative transaction experience includes various disposals for Barclays and RBS, the sales of Cazenove, NewDay and Vocalink, the IPO and subsequent sale of Aldermore and the IPO of Nordax.

Michael holds a BSc in Economics & Finance from the University of York.
