Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources & Administrative Services
Patrick McAlpine is Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services at Stephens. In this role, he oversees human resources operations as well as other company infrastructure and support departments. Previously he served as General Counsel for Stephens Insurance, LLC from 2010-2023 and as a Staff Attorney in the Stephens Legal Department from 2004-2008. Prior to joining Stephens Insurance, Mr. McAlpine was Assistant General Counsel for Staffmark Holdings, Inc. and was in private practice with the Little Rock firms of Quattlebaum, Grooms, Tull & Burrow PLLC and Williams & Anderson LLP.
Mr. McAlpine is admitted to practice law in Arkansas and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law and as City Judge for the City of Cammack Village, Arkansas.
Mr. McAlpine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas summa cum laude and a Juris Doctor degree with high honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Mr. McAlpine was Editor-in-Chief of the UALR Law Review and completed his LLM degree with certificates in Human Resources and Employment Law Policy and Management as well as Risk Management and Compliance from Texas A&M University Law School. Mr. McAlpine has his Series 7 and Series 24 qualifications.
