Transaction Details
On September 16, 2024, Belden Inc. (“Belden”) and its wholly owned subsidiary Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH acquired Voleatech GmbH (“Voleatech”) from AAC Holding GmbH.
In Belden’s latest earnings call held on October 31, 2024, Belden’s CEO noted several reasons that Voleatech is attractive to Belden, including:
- i. The technology fills key product gaps and helps Belden expand its OT network security offerings with industrial firewall technologies.
- ii. The enhanced security offerings strengthen Belden’s active portfolio offerings with Belden HORIZON synergies and incremental edge computing capabilities.
- iii. The technology and knowledge accelerate the development of Belden’s next-generation software platform for wireless, firewall, protocol conversion and edge capabilities.
