- On April 20, 2017, Blue Ridge Networks, Inc. contributed its AppGuard line of business for cash and significant equity ownership in Blue Planet-works, Inc.
- The new investors in Blue Planet-works include ANA Holdings, Dentsu, Dai-ichi Life Insurance, Daiko Denshi Tsushin, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa, PCI Holdings and Information Services International-Dentsu
- Blue Planet-works will commence immediate global distribution of AppGuard software and services for endpoint protection and Blue Ridge Networks will continue to distribute AppGuard in the United States
- Blue Planet-works plans to utilize the working capital to enhance capabilities for expanded use of the AppGuard Enterprise foundation for numerous market verticals, including Internet of Things (IoT) Security
- Stephens Inc. served as exclusive financial advisor and provided a fairness opinion to Blue Ridge Networks, Inc.
