(“GBC”), the parent company of Georgia Banking Company, announced the completion of a $77.7 million private placement of primary and secondary shares, led by funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group, to support the company’s continued growth and future strategic expansion opportunities.
The offering included broad participation from qualified institutional buyers and accredited institutional investors, reflecting strong demand for GBC’s value proposition and positioning in the vibrant Atlanta market.
GBC plans to deploy the capital to support organic growth, strengthen its balance sheet, provide liquidity to existing investors, and pursue opportunities to expand its presence as a leading bank in Georgia.
