Managing Director
Brad Nelson joined Stephens in May 2009 as a Managing Director and Head of A&D. Over the course of his career, he has closed over 350 transactions representing $125 Bn in transaction value. Brad has also served on the board of several upstream and midstream companies during his career. Prior to Stephens, he served as a Managing Director at Energy Capital Solutions where he was a founder of the company and employed for eight years. Previously, Brad was in Bear Stearns’ Energy Investment Banking Group, focusing primarily on E&P and oilfield services transactions. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Brad was with Koch Ventures, the private equity arm of Koch Industries. While at Koch, he focused on providing private capital to energy and technology-related companies. Brad received his B.S. from Oklahoma State University and his M.B.A. from The University of Oklahoma.
