Simon Tilley is a Managing Director in Stephens' London office and leads the European Financial Sponsors Group. Simon acts as a focal point for the firm’s interactions with European private equity firms and the wider financial sponsors community. He also works closely with the firm’s Financial Sponsors Group in the US to co-ordinate Stephens’ activities and relationships across the Atlantic.
Prior to joining Stephens in 2019, Simon spent two years with Inflexion Private Equity, where he was a Partner in the Partnership Capital team. Prior to Inflexion, Simon spent 16 years with DC Advisory and its predecessor firm, Close Brothers Corporate Finance, where he led the European Financial Sponsors Group. Simon has advised clients on a wide variety of transactions over his corporate finance career, including M&A sell side and buy side assignments, balance sheet restructurings and debt advisory assignments. Simon started his career in leveraged finance with NatWest Markets.
He graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc in Banking & Finance in 1994.
