- On September 18, 2018, Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors LLC (“FTAI” or the “Company”) closed its previously announced private offering of $300 million aggregate principal amount of 6.50% senior unsecured notes due 2025
- FTAI owns and acquires high quality infrastructure and equipment that is essential for the transportation of goods and people globally - FTAI is externally managed by an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group LLC, a leading, diversified global investment firm
- The Company will use the net proceeds of the offering to repay $125 million of outstanding borrowings and to pay related fees and expenses, with the remainder being used for general corporate purposes, including the funding of future investments
- Stephens Inc. served as Co-Manager on the offering
About the company
FTAI owns and acquires high quality infrastructure and related equipment that is essential for the transportation of goods and people globally. The Company targets assets that, on a combined basis, generate strong cash flows with potential for earnings growth and asset appreciation. FTAI believes that there are a large number of acquisition opportunities in its markets, and that its Manager’s expertise and business and financing relationships, together with its access to capital, will allow it to take advantage of these opportunities. FTAI is externally managed by its Manager, an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group, which has a dedicated team of experienced professionals focused on the acquisition of transportation and infrastructure assets since 2002. As of June 30, 2018, FTAI had total consolidated assets of $2.2 billion and total equity of $1.1 billion.
