- On December 28, 2018, SMART Financial Operations, LLC, a leading sponsor-backed pawn platform, secured a new $40 million Senior Secured Term Loan and $40 million Delayed Draw Term Loan from funds affiliated with Comvest Credit Partners and Crystal Financial, LLC
- Founded in 2016, SMART Financial currently operates over 60 pawn stores distributed across six U.S. states and three Canadian provinces
- SMART Financial offers non-recourse, fully collateralized pawn loans and sells merchandise which primarily consists of used merchandise purchased from or forfeited by pawn loan customers
- Transaction proceeds will be used to refinance existing debt and fund future pawn store acquisitions
- Stephens Inc. served as exclusive financial advisor to SMART Financial in the transaction
